Milestone of SRKRC

1974-75

SRKRC was registered as Charitable Trust and started its operations at Surat General Hospital

1994

The SMC blessed SRKRC and gave a land at Gopipura, Wherein SRKRC built up G+3 building

2002
  • Received approval as “Research Centre” by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.
  • Started First Apheresis Centre in South Gujarat.
2004

SRKRC received approval as “Regional Blood Transfusion Centre” by GSCBT to create Blood Storage Centre facility in Bharuch, Narmada, Surat and Tapi Districts.

2008

The SMC blessed SRKRC and gave first floor of Khatodara Health Centre. SRKRC developed a State of the Art Blood Centre and a Modern Research Centre.

This Project was Inaugurated by the then CM of Gujarat Hon. Shri Narendra Modi

2010

First NABH Accreditation received from NABH, QCI of Govt. of India.

2012

Started Irradiated Blood Facility in South Gujarat.

2015

“Best Healthcare NGO of the Year” SiX Sigma, New Delhi.

2016
  • “Best Blood Centre Organization of India” by ISBTI at Lucknow.
  • Awarded Certificate for 100% Voluntary Blood Donations by Government of India.
  • Started Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology ( PGDMLT) got affiliation from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University.
2019

During Corona Period, SRKRC worked 24x7 & Issued 58259 Blood & Blood Components to the citizen of Surat & Surrounding village.

2020

Inauguration of Umbilical Cord Blood Stem Cell Bank.

2023
  • Inauguration of Dr. Pradip Desai Advance Research Centre (PDARC).
  • 24 X 7 FREE Blood Transportation Services started totally free of cost from hospitals to SRKRC and back to the hospitals.
  • Vice Chancellor of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University Dr. K. N. Chavda felicitated President and Founder Trustee of SRKRC.
  • Smt.  Darshnaben Jardosh (Hon. Member of Parliament, Surat) honored SRKRC with Mobile Blood Donation Medical Van.
2024
  • Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industries  felicitated  SRKRC  in  Health  and Wellness Expo.
  • 94.3 MY FM, Divya Bhaskar Group recognized SRKRC for Life Saving Contribution.
  • One more feather in the cap of SRKRC Started Smt. Suvarna Mahesh Desai & Dr. Mahesh K. Desai (MD) Thalassemia Blood Transfusion and Research Centre providing  FREE of Cost services to Thalassemia patients.
